Victory In Jesus ~ by Pastor Leroy Freeman

Victorious Living Through Jesus Christ

In the midst of Trials (tests and challenges), an ABUNDANT LIFE of Triumph (joy, righteousness, peace, and victory) can be Yours through the Born-again experience.

Jesus said, “In the world (this life) ye SHALL have tribulation (trials); but be of good cheer; I have OVERCOME the world.” John 16:33b

Triumph and Trials are two opposing words.

Trial - a state of pain or anguish caused by a difficult situation or condition.

Triumph - to gain a victory; to conquer; to be victorious; to win.

In the Old Testament, Job experienced both trial and triumph. In the end, Job saw that God was faithful in all that He promised. God brought Job through his trial victoriously and Job received a Double Portion return for all of his loses (Job 42:12).

Believers in Christ Jesus are often called to suffer many things just as our Lord Jesus did in His earthly life (Phil. 1:29). As we pass through these times of suffering and trial, they should not alarm or overcome us and cause us to hang our heads and live lives of defeat. As Jesus triumphed and was victorious, through Him, so can we (James 1:2).

At salvation, God’s Power takes residence within us. His Word and the internal abiding of the Holy Spirit is more than a match for anything that we will ever encounter in this life (I John 4:4).

To be victorious over trials, by faith we must cling to the promises of God’s Word and trust that God will be faithful to all that He has promised (Eph. :16,17).

We must be mindful that conditions are attached to God’s promises (Isa. 1:19,20). When there is obedience to God’s Word and the conditions are met, we can (then) be confident of having our need(s) met, total victory, and deliverance in Jesus Name (Psm.8:11).

Even though there is VICTORY to be had now in this present life, the greater cause to rejoice is the ultimate victory and triumph on the other side of this life.

“The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).

If you are a believer, Cheer up and be Encouraged.

By FAITH, expect that the Lord will cause things to get better and work together for your good and His glory (Rom. 8:28).

EXPECT to triumph over each trial, KNOWING that greater is He (Jesus) that is within you, and that there is nothing too hard for God (Mark 10:27).

STRIVE to show triumphant behavior on a DAILY basis (Phil. 4:4). We’re on the winning side ~ Hallelujah (Rev. 21:4).

If you're unsaved, You can’t expect to have God’s best and REJECT Him at the same time.

Remember: Purity and Power are constant companions.

Don’t expect mountains to be moved if (open, habitual) SIN stands in the way. Strive to be pure and holy in all that you do and say. Then, watch God work mightily and show Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chron. 16:9).

Jesus died and arose so that we (believers) might have VICTORY. Don’t live beneath your privilege.
